Description

This is a prophetic word, given to Jim Goll, which he began sending out on November 15th, 1998. This word applies to the Christian church at large, and concerns this season moving into the beginning of 1999.

"I Have Troubled the Waters"

November 15, 1998

As I was praying, I saw a road sign that announced there was a curve in the road ahead and the Lord spoke into my spirit that the Body of Christ is approaching a turn and that we must pay attention as we come to it. He is announcing a new season of turning that will last until the end of our calendar year, December 31.

The Lord said, He has troubled the waters and they will remain troubled until the end of the year. "For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had."(John 5:4)The Lord told us to come prepared to this season, to draw deeply from the wells of Salvation. "Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation." (Isaiah 12:3)

Today, through next Sunday, will be a time of preparation to get the strategies we need from the Lord and position ourselves to receive all we can during this sovereign time of grace. He will be speaking to each of us about prayer times and times apart and fasting and how he wants us in our homes to seek him during this season. He wants us to seek Him. He doesn't want us to ask the Pastor or some other minister. He wants us to ask Him how to go about this in each of our situations.

Beginning the count next Sunday, there are 40 remaining days in the year 1998, and by next Sunday we need to have settled in our minds what we are going to do over the next 40 days that is different, in order to make time in each day, on purpose, to hear what the Spirit of the Lord has to say.

During this season, the Lord is going to widen and resurface his highway or pathway in each of us individually, in our church collectively, in our city, our state, and our nation. He is sending comfort to His people. (See Isaiah 40: 1-5). He is making straight the path and plain the way.

This will be a season when His Holiness will increase in it's manifestation as we listen with our hearts and are obedient. The evidences of His Holiness will increase in our midst. In the midst of our lives, our homes, our church, our city, our state and our nation.

There are some habits that he will deal with and remove that have afflicted us for years and have been like gum on our hands that we could not get off.

The Lord says that if we have ears to hear and obey, at the end of this season we shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. (Is 62:2) We may enter the season with the spiritual name Lack and leave the season with the spiritual name Abundance. We may enter the season with the name Coward and end with the name Braveheart. It is a name which the Lord shall name.

The Lord is going to remove 3 things in this season: Hindrances, stumbling blocks and opposition.

        1.  Hindrances to our personal spiritual progress 
             Hindrances to our ministries spiritual progress
             Hindrances to our families spiritual progress

        2.  Stumbling blocks in the way of the people of God
                and the people of the way.

        3.  The Lord is going to deal with those who oppose Him
                and the coming move of God.

(Isaiah 58:6-12; Isaiah 35; Jeremiah 31:15-21; Isaiah 43; Isaiah 62 contain the promises available to us as the Lord builds his highway and study of those passages will build your faith and expectation of what He will do during this time if we have ears to hear and hearts to obey.)
