Description

This word was given to a member of my local congregation on January 3rd, 1999, and my personal thoughts are that it was intended for the church at large. Please bear in mind that I was not the recipient of this word, and that what is written below is a direct quote of the prophecy. In other words, I can't say for certain whom it was intended for, or attest to its accuracy, other than to say that this man is definitely a man of God, and I would trust him with my own life.

I�d like to read a Scripture that I felt the Lord gave me last week for the Body in 1999. It�s out of Isaiah 61 verses 4 through 9:

Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins and they will raise up the former devastations and they will repair the ruined cities, the desolation of many generations. And strangers will stand and pastor their flocks and foreigners will be your farmers and vine dressers. But you will be called the priests of the Lord. You will be spoken of as ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations and in their riches you will boast. Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land. Everlasting joy will be theirs. For I the Lord love justice, I hate robbery and the burnt offering and I will faithfully give them their recompense. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them. Then their offspring will be known among the nations and their descendants in the midst of the peoples and all who see them will recognize them because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed.

As we were worshipping the Lord, I think to go along with this scripture, I was trying to give the word out there and I could not, so I want to try to describe the picture of what I saw. I believe we are coming into a season. The Lord has heard our cry, is hearing our cry, and the foundations have been solidified and worked on. And we are going to be blessed and we are going to see the answer to many things in 1999. I believe we are going to see the Lord in His glory and in His great power. I believe our heart�s cry to burst out of these four walls is going to happen. What I also saw was a time where we as a Body are no longer going to be able to walk into the presence of the Lord in the manner in which we are accustomed. I saw us walking into the presence of the Lord walking over a doormat that the world had laid before us. So before we would enter into the presence of the Lord we would pick up what was the on the doormat that the world had laid and we would carry it into the presence of the Lord, and every where we would walk that stain would be there. And I saw the Lord requiring us to remove that doormat this year. A doormat is supposed to be at the entryway of a door. It is a good thing. It cleans your feet. It takes care of your shoes. It protects things inside. But I believe the picture was a representation of the Lord calling us to a higher place, a better place. I saw the Lord asking us to remove our shoes. And I saw His hand wipe across that door mat and we were able to walk across, and our feet no longer touched what the world laid before the entrance to the presence of the Lord and we were able to enter into the presence of the Lord with clean hearts and clean feet. I don�t understand the full meaning of that, I do understand that there is a dying that comes with it. There is a price to be paid in our hearts. And I think it is in our hearts that the Lord is calling us to a deeper place and a greater place that we will be able to enter into the presence of the Lord with clean hearts and clean feet.
